THE BASICS:
What does PowerLink do? 
Once PowerLink identifies the PSI or PI engine, the application:

  • Displays vehicle temps, battery life, gauges, switches and more
  • Reads and clears active and inactive fault codes including Proprietary fault codes for PSI and PI engines and other PSI components
  • Displays Calibration ID and CVN for the PSI and PI engines
  • Allows user to program new calibrations (PSI engines only)
  • VEPS Programming (PSI engines only)
  • Read and clear Hydramatic transmission faults
  • Read and clear PSI Cruise Control Module faults
  • Navistar OnCommand Health Report support
  • Commanded Tests with guidance to assist in their use
  • Recover corrupted (bricked) PSI ECMs using Advanced Programming feature

Do I need internet access for PowerLink? 
Internet access is required for initial activation/set up and periodically thereafter for updates. Internet access is also required for retrieving new calibrations and programming the calibration and submitting vehicle data to Navistar OnCommand.

Is PowerLink a one-time purchase?

What adapters work with PowerLink? 
The approved adapters for PowerLink are the Noregon DLA+ 2.0 adapters.

What will I need to program the PSI ECU with a new calibration?

  • PSI Engine Harness (SKU 32146)
  • Internet Connection - To download the new calibration
  • Noregon DLA+ 2.0 Adapter
  • PSI PowerLink application

What is PowerLink? 
PSI PowerLink is an enhanced diagnostic application specifically designed for PSI's power systems.

Does PowerLink have the ability to scan other engine types? 
Connectivity and diagnostic functionality will be restricted to only vehicles equipped with PSI or PI engines.

What are the operating system requirements for PowerLink?

  • Windows 10 or 11

What is the minimum hardware required?

  • Minimum: 4 GB RAM, 20 GB HD space, Intel Core i3, 1024x768 monitor
  • Recommended: 8 GB RAM, 20 GB HD space, Intel Core i5
  • 1 available USB port (v2.0 or higher)

What languages are supported? 
PSI PowerLink will support an English or Spanish user interface. The initial language will be selected based on the computers culture setting.

Will PSI PowerLink be capable of bi-directional command tests? 
Yes, starting with PSI PowerLink v2.0, bi-directional commanded tests are now supported.

What does it cost to update PowerLink?
Updates to PSI PowerLink are provided free for active subscribers.

Will PowerLink create log files?
Yes, every time the PSI PowerLink application connects to the vehicle data bus, it will record the connection to a compressed log file. These files can be played back in the application via Vehicle History menu.

How is the PowerLink software installed?
The PSI PowerLink application will be made available as a single executable (.exe) file.

How do I register and activate my PowerLink software?
You will register and activate your software during installation. You will receive your license key for activation via email. To activate you will need an internet connection.
